About the Render Sisters —

The Render Sisters weren’t necessarily born into music, but somehow that didn’t stop music from being born within them, with a little help from their family. Sisters and best friends, Mary-Keaton (16) and Stella (14) Render, a young pop country duo originating from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, cite their grandmother, a music teacher, as being one of their early influences and enablers.

“When we were both very young, before kindergarten, our grandmother would sing with us and encourage us to sing all the time,” said Mary-Keaton. “She would have us watch “The Sound of Music,” playing the soundtrack over and over again, singing every word. She was a music teacher and knew that we possessed a natural ability to harmonize and sing together.”

Still living on their family’s farm in rural south Arkansas, these harmonious sisters are beginning to strike their own chords as original singers and songwriters after several years of cutting their teeth on the small town Arkansas circuit of school talent shows, or any other stage they could grace that was close to home.

In 2018 and 2019 they landed a spot on Little Rock’s “Jettway Performance Summer Tour Team” which put them on the road for the first time as performing artists, playing in bigger, more artistic scenes like Nashville, Branson, Dallas and the Arkansas State Fair. While in Nashville, they gained interest from talent development executive Bernard Porter of PCG Artist Development, who has taken them under his company’s wing to evolve their natural talents.

Now, in 2020, the Render Sisters are finally ready to demonstrate their mounting artistic influences which not only stem from their grandmother, but from years of listening and observing the tactics of female country icons like Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, and Kacey Musgraves.

“Carrie has a style all of her own that makes her just glow,” said Stella. “Her presence is so strong and confident, so we aspire to also be strong and confident artists which radiate our happiness and contentment.”

Even Grand Ole Opry member and hit songwriter Pam Tillis, one of country music’s most iconic and authentic female voices, has taken a personal interest in these young southern songstresses after meeting them during one of Tillis’ motivational talks she gives to young artists at the Grand Ole Opry house.

Now, in 2020 the Render Sisters are ready to blossom their own creative spirits from within as they prepare to debut their first two original recorded songs and concept videos for “Lost Boy,” (directed by Pam Tillis) and “Count On Me, Count On You” (directed by Josh Sikkema) both due out in the summer.

“We want our music to be relatable to all walks of life, and to inspire people of all generations to love and believe in themselves and one another,” said Stella. “We hope to draw fans to our shows, not only for our music, but because of the way we make them feel. We intend to be transparent, and for our audience to feel like they personally know the real Mary-Keaton and Stella Render.”
